Buying 1,000 U.S. Flag Stamps: Check the Pack Size
When buying 1,000 U.S. Flag stamps, check what the number describes. It might mean ten rolls of 100 or fifty booklets of 20. The total can be identical while the package is quite different.
Start with the unit, not the headline quantity
A product title may describe the total supply, while the option selector describes how it is divided. Read both. For example, “10 rolls of 100” gives you ten separate units. “50 booklets of 20” gives you fifty smaller units.
This matters when you have specified a particular package for distribution or a mailing setup. Ten locations receiving a roll each is a different order requirement from one location needing a continuous strip. A similar total does not make those packages interchangeable.
Compare actual 1,000-stamp options

Write a purchase line someone else can follow
Use a complete description in an order request or purchasing note. It should survive being copied into an email without relying on a photograph or a dropdown that another person cannot see.

Add the product link and the selected option. If a supplier proposes a substitute, compare all five fields—not just the final number. A different year changes the design; a different pack size changes how the supply arrives.
Check the cart multiplier
If the selected variant already contains 1,000 stamps, a cart quantity of two orders two of those packages. For a ten-roll package, that means twenty rolls and 2,000 stamps in total.
Before checkout, multiply the stamps in the selected package by the cart quantity. Ask a second person to check the total when ordering for several locations. This small check can prevent a large mismatch between the requested supply and the order.
A large purchase is not a postal service category
Buying many stamps does not automatically turn the letters you send into USPS commercial-rate mail. The stamps you buy and the service requirements of your mailing are separate questions.
For ordinary First-Class letters, confirm postage against the completed mailpiece. For commercial mailing options, consult USPS business mailing guidance rather than assuming a larger retail package establishes eligibility.
Compare the delivered order, not just the image
Review current product pricing, shipping charges where applicable, and the delivery estimate. Do not calculate savings from an old blog price or assume that a photo showing several rolls is a promise of how many you will receive.
On receipt, compare the design, physical units, and total count with your order record. Keep the product and option details for a repeat purchase, then recheck them next time because listings can change.
